William A. Argyle, age 76, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Jefferson Hospital. He was a retired lab technician at U.S. Steel Irvin Works in West Mifflin. He was an Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart in January 1966 while serving with the 173 Airborne. He was a former member of Dravosburg American Legion and Dravosburg Fire Hall, and various bowling leagues in the Mon Valley.

Born May 9, 1943 in Dravosburg, he was a son of the late Thomas A. and Thelma Argyle. He is survived by his wife, Cindy  (Kennedy) Argyle; son, Robert (Sharon) McKelvey of Johnstown; stepsons, Brett (Alice) Maksin of Elizabeth Twp. and James (Amy) Maksin of Pleasant Hills; 13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, JoJo Cislo of Dravosburg; sister, Joy Lee Grady of Elkhart, IN; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Bill McKelvey; sister, Beryl Debs; and brothers, Floyd and Donnie Argyle. No visitation is planned. A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 11 AM in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville with Pastor Bob McKelvey officiating.
