Allen R. "Skip" Mayhugh, age 86, of Elizabeth, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Jefferson Hospital. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and was stationed in Japan where he met his wife and lifelong friend, Setsue. After serving in the Army, he returned home and worked in construction and part-time farming. He was a part-time policeman in Elizabeth Borough in the early 1970s and in 1984, he founded A&M Recycling in Elizabeth. Born January 20, 1933 in Forward Twp., he was a son of the late Kenneth and Mabel (Bernhardy) Mayhugh. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Setsue K. (Kisu) Mayhugh; daughters, Cathy Pierce of Elizabeth, Susie Mayhugh of Tucson, AZ, Jackie (Robert) Salka of Forward Twp., and Toni Mayhugh of Elizabeth; son, John H. Mayhugh of Elizabeth and Jim Mayhugh of Elizabeth; grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Heath of Townville and Mary Patello of Waltersburg; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Liz Mayhugh, and brother, William C. Mayhugh. No visitation or services are planned. Arrangements by the Paul E.
