Domenica (DePaola) Capolupo, age 97 of Clairton, passed away in her home on Saturday, June 18, 2016. Born August 21, 1918 in San Donato Ninea, Calabria, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Saverio DePaola and Cherubina Ferraro.

A member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish , Domenica loved to garden and cook, especially in preparation for her Sunday family dinners. Her family will love and miss those dinners, and even more so her, forever. They would also like to extend their gratitude to her special caregivers: Sharon, Nakeia, Tanya, Darcie and Trina. Domenica joins her husband, the late Domenico Capolupo, who passed away April 27, 1996, and was also preceded in death by her siblings Maria, Pasquale, Innocenzo, and Giuseppe DePaola. She is survived by her children Andrea "Andrew" (Lina) Capolupo, Rosetta (Frank) Caruso, Pasquale "Pat" (Sally) Capolupo, and Sam (Michele) Capolupo; her grandchildren Domenic, John, and Claudia Capolupo, Lisa McCorkle, Concetta Winwood, Franca Todd, John Capolupo, Domenico Vincenzo Capolupo, and Giuseppe, David, and Michael Capolupo; and also her nine great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, 555 5th. St., Clairton, PA 15025 (412-233-5700) on Monday, June 20, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 10 AM in St. Clare of Assisi Parish. Procession and entombment will follow to Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.
