Marion J. Madeya age 80, of West Mifflin, on May 18 at home. Born in Duquesne on October 6, 1939, she was the daughter of the late John & Martha (Cepietz) Madeya, She was a clerical worker at Harbison-Walker Refractory, was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish in Duquesne, and enjoyed painting and gardening. Survivors include brothers and sisters Robert (late Mary) Madeya of Tuscon, AZ, Virginia (William) Keck of Upper St. Clair, late Barbara (Edwin surviving) Petrisko of Delaware, William (Nancy) Madeya of Elizabeth Twp., Lucille (Ronald) Smith of Irwin and John (Pamela) Madeya of Louisville, KY.
Private family visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300. A blessing service will be held at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, which is open to family and friends, at St. Hedwig Church, Duquesne, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Greg Madeya, her cousin, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Hedwig Cemetery, West Mifflin.
