John Booth, age 94, a resident of Atria Assisted Living and formerly of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Atria Assisted Living. An Army veteran having served in World War II, he retired after 20 years as a water tender for U.S. Steel Clairton Works. He was a former manager at Stanley’s Tire Service and a former coal stripper at Twilight Industries, and was a member of Ella Hollow Bible Church in Monongahela. Born September 12, 1925 in Jefferson Borough, he was a son of the late Abel and Gertrude Booth, and husband of the late Audrey (McWhirter) Booth. He is survived by son, Jack (Linda) Booth of Clairton; granddaughter, Mary Catherine (Phillip) DiMarco of Jefferson Hills; great-grandchildren, Christina and Domenic DiMarco of Jefferson Hills; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by son, Terry Booth; sisters, Gertrude and Annie; and brothers, Joseph, Frank, Abe, Robert, Kenneth, Louis, Harry and Bill.
