Virginia L. (LaFrankie) Handley, 81, of Elizabeth, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Jefferson Hospital.

She was a claims representative for Highmark in Pittsburgh and a member of St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church in Jefferson Hills. She enjoyed traveling. Born February 3, 1935 in Elizabeth, she was a daughter of the late James and Virginia (Ackerman) LaFrankie. She is survived by her husband,   Arnold ; brother, Jerry (Monica) LaFrankie of Elizabeth; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Paulianna Martis and Theodora Terdine, and brother, James LaFrankie. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth, PA 15037 on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 10 AM in St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert J. Boyle officiating. Burial will follow in St. Clare Cemetery, Clairton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church, 1216 Collins Avenue, Jefferson Hills, PA 15025.
