Mary Ann (Antoinette) Antczak Dirling, age 84 and longtime resident of White Oak, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020 in HCR ManorCare, Monroeville, after battling an enduring illness.  Born June 22, 1936 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Plavchak) Antczak.  Mary Ann graduated from Divine Redeemer Academy in 1954, where she held the title of Miss Pinetum.  After graduation, she worked at Apter Bros., where she met her husband on the switchboard, Kundman's and Fitzy's Confectioners, later in life with Eckerd Drug, and, after retirement, at Phyllis' Fashions, formerly in White Oak.  A member of St. Edward's Parish in Herminie, in her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, reading, shopping, talking with people, and feeding the animals in her yard.  Mary Ann will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.  She was a kind and thoughtful person with a heart of gold that would do anything for anyone.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a special aunt, Mary Charmo.  Mary Ann is survived by her husband William C. Dirling of White Oak, of whom on August 17, they would have celebrated their 65th. wedding anniversary; her son William J. (Noreen) Dirling of McKeesport; her daughter Traci A. (Jon) Procacina of Herminie that cared for her the past 10 years; her brother Ronald J. Antczak of California; the love of her life who kept her smiling for the last 18 years, her grandson and godson Justin J. Procacina -- she loved him more than life itself; her grandchildren Nicole (Rug) Phatak, Christopher (Lauren) Dirling, and Kara Dirling; her great-grandchildren; her special friend Debbie Gongaware; and also her nieces.  Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Sunday, July 19, 2020 from 1 to 4 PM.  Only twenty-five people will be permitted at a time; masks are required; CDC and State guidelines will be observed; and social distancing will be enforced on funeral home property.  A Blessing will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 10 AM with Fr. Matthew Elanjalith officiating.  Procession and burial will follow to St. Joseph's Cemetery, North Versailles.  The family would like to give a special thanks to HCR Manorcare, Monroeville and the staff of Heartland Hospice: you are truly special people who work hard.  Your devotion will never be forgotten.  Memorial contributions in Mary Ann's name should be made to the White Oak Animal Safe Haven, 2295 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131.
