Glen T. Bowen, age 95, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Allegheny General Hospital. He was a retired insurance agent for Metropolitan Life and a former self-employed stone mason and brick layer. He was an Army veteran serving during World War II. A member of Round Hill Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth Twp., he enjoyed walking and working outdoors. Born August 31, 1924 in Elizabeth Twp., he was a son of the late Edward I. and Sarah (Summerville) Bowen and husband of the late Marilyn Y. "Molly" (Niskosky) Bowen. He is survived by daughter, Linda (Neal) Hartranft of Allentown; son, G. Thomas (Carolyn Burke) Bowen of Elizabeth Twp.; grandchildren, Holly (Micah) Lessey, Amy Hartranft, Laurie Hartranft, Joel Hartranft, Kali Sue (Stephen) Yuhas; great-grandchild, Weston Yuhas; brother, Donald Bowen of Rostraver; also, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by sister, Mildred Smith, and brothers, Walter, John, Harry and William Bowen. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 4-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dr. D. Matthew Stith officiating. Private burial in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to Round Hill Presbyterian Church, 2150 Round Hill Church Road, Elizabeth, PA 15037. In order to comply with Covid-19 restrictions, attendance will be limited to 25 people at any given time inside the funeral home. Guests are required to wear masks and follow CDC social distancing guidelines. You may be asked to limit your visiting time so that all guests will have an opportunity to pay their respects.
