Josephine M. Kushner, age 95, of Clairton, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 4, 2016in Riverside Care Center, McKeesport. She was born on April 19, 1921 in Greensburg to the late Frank and Maria (Madoferri) Arilotta. Josephine
was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, Cliarton, she retired from the Blue Flame Restaurant as a cook after 30 years and also worked at the former Rose's Flower Shop and Isaly's in Clairton. A loving wife of her late husband John J. Kushner (2-7-2003), she is survived by her children; Rosemarie (Stan) Lowe of Frederick, MD, Terrence (Pamela) Kushner and Lawrence (Linda) Kushner both of Washington, PA; grandchildren Kristen (Matt) Hansen, Andrew (Carrie), Anthony, and Michael Kushner; Matt (Lindsay) and Melissa Lowe, great grandchildren; Maddie and Katie Hansen, Lilly, Nolan and Ellie Kushner, Caroline, Reagan and Luke Lowe; brother Jim Arilotta of Jefferson Hills and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Josephine is predeceased by her siblings; Rose Sgroi, Tony, Angelo and John Arilotta. Friends will be received in the A. J. Bekavac Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 2-4PM and 6-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM on Thursday, in St. Clare of Assisi Parish.
