Violet M. George, age 88 of Clairton, passed away at home on Saturday, July 16, 2016.  Born March 5, 1928 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Chaheen) Joseph.

A member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Pittsburgh, Violet loved her visits to the Clairton Senior Center, area casinos, and Atlantic City.  But more importantly, she was a amazing wife, mother, "Situ," and aunt.  Violet joins her husband, the late George D. George, who passed away October 20, 2004, and her brother, the late Edward Joseph.  She is survived by her daughters Karen (Glenn) Ludwick and Linda (Donald) Timmis, both of Clairton, her grandson Donald Timmis of Clairton, her brother John Joseph of McKeesport, nieces and nephews, and also great-nieces and great-nephews.  Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, 555 5th. St., Clairton, PA 15025 (412-233-5700) on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.  A Blessing will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 12 Noon.  Procession and burial will follow to Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.  www.bekavacfuneralhome.com
