On Tuesday, February 2, 2021, Sherwood R. McEwen age 86, passed away peacefully in Fairfax, Va.

Born October 24, 1934 he spent the majority of his life in the East McKeesport/North Versailles area. He is the son of the late Raymond and Nancy McEwen. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife and high school sweetheart Rosemary McEwen. He is survived by his children Daniel McEwen of North Versailles, Scott (Colleen) McEwen of Harrison City and Beth (Tom) Pyne of Fairfax, Virginia; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and sister Nancy Ann Best of Palm Coast, Florida. Sherwood, aka Woody, will always be remembered as the nicest guy around town!

Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, 412-823-8083. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Saturday at the St. Robert Bellarmine Church in East McKeesport. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in North Versailles.
