Nellie Gostovich, age 91 of Clairton, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016. Born March 6 ,1925 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Nikola and Marija (Vuksich) Gostovich. |
A retired payroll clerk and secretary for Gimbel's Department Store in Pittsburgh, Nellie was a member of the former St. Mary's Serbian Orthodox Church in Clairton and its choir. She is survived by her nieces Irene Plesniak of Elizabeth Twp. and Carol Lasich of Clairton and her nephew Ronald DeFlavis of Clairton. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Benny Gostovich and her sisters Irene Sowinski, Dorothy Gostovich, and Mary DeFlavis. A private visitation and funeral services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016 in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, 555 5th. St., Clairton, PA 15025 (412-233-5700), by the Very Rev. Dr. Rodney Torbic, with interment following in St. George's Serbian Orthodox Cemetery in Pittsburgh. www.bekavacfuneralhome.com
