Elmer Joseph “Pops” Harbert Sr. 58 of McKeesport passed away on Thursday March 11th, 2021 at his home. He was born in McKeesport on October 11th, 1962 to the late William Sr. and Shirley Yeager Harbert. He is survived by his son Elmer J. (Destiny Houser) Harbert Jr. of Glassport, stepdaughter Krista Wampler of McKeesport, grandchildren Aniyah Harbert, Makiah Harbert, Mason Harbert, Christopher Harbert, James Clark, Kamera Clark, brothers William (Anne Marie) Harbert of Lake Murrey S.C. Michael (Claudette) Harbert of McKeesport, Dante Harbert of Irwin, sisters Robin Anderson of Wagner S.C. and Sharon (Chad) Snowdon of Myrtle Beach S.C. Elmer was preceded in death by his sister Bonnie Carter Harbert and grandchild Cameron Houser. Elmer was a graduate of McKeesport High School and worked as a commercially licensed truck driver and served in the Army. He enjoyed visiting parks and most of all enjoyed spending time with his son and grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Sunday March 14th, 2021 at E.C. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 235 Monongahela Ave, Glassport, PA 15045 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Service will begin at 8pm. Interment will take place at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to defray costs.
