Beverly Mae (Bowers) Towner, age 72, formerly of Forward Twp., passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 18, 2021. Born August 2, 1948 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late John G. and Mae (Smart) Bowers. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ken Towner and their three children, Bob (Joanne) Towner, Jennifer (Mark) Martin and Daniel (April) Towner; grandchildren, Kayla (Matt) Towner, Cody Towner, Alexa Towner and Mackenzie Martin; brother, Robert (Debbie) Bowers; brother-in-law, Bryan (Nancy) Towner; also, nieces and nephews. She enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren. Bev was loved by many and enjoyed playing cards with her card club of 38 years. She will be clearly missed and forever in our hearts. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 2-6 PM. A funeral service will take place on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Chuck Jack officiating. In order to comply with Covid-19 restrictions, guests are required to wear masks and follow CDC social distancing guidelines. You may be asked to limit your visiting time so that all guests will have an opportunity to pay their respects. The family would like to express their understanding to those who are unable to attend due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Burial will follow in West Newton Cemetery, West Newton.
