John Walter “Doc” Colflesh

A life-long resident of the McKeesport/White Oak area, John Walter Colflesh was born on August 21, 1930 in McKeesport, PA to Walter Clifford and Ruth Davis Colflesh. He died on February 21, 2021 while wintering in Myrtle Beach, SC.
John served in the US Army in Germany from 1952-1954 during the Korean War. He worked for Bell Telephone/ATT until his retirement after many years of service. He loved golfing, spending winters in Myrtle Beach and traveling the USA. John was a member of the Polaris Lodge #375 Free & Accepted Masons, Scottish Rite, Syria Shrine and a member of the American Legion.
John is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nancy Kniepkamp Colflesh and his daughters Ann C. Berk (Dover, DE), and Amy S. Haughey (Dover, DE). “Uncle Doc” is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his son, John F. Colflesh, and his sister, Margaret Kengle.
