Victoria Lynn (O’Barto) Sam, 63, of North Huntingdon, passed away quietly, surrounded by family, after a heroic battle with kidney disease, Sunday April 4, 2021.

She was born June 6, 1957 in Tampa, FL, a daughter of the late Anthony and Alma (Churchfield) O’Barto who raised her from the age of nine months after her mother’s unexpected death. In addition to her parents and grandparents she is preceded in death by her nephew Rick Paulus and her grandparents-in-law Jeff and Jean Lewis. She lived an amazing life and touched so many lives as a school bus driver, transit driver, hair stylist, and amazing person and friend.

She will always be remembered for her generosity and good humor. She was a positive person and never complained. She will be missed by all.

We send her away with all the love we have had for her all our lives. She is survived by her loving husband Abraham Sam; her son Shawn A. Sam of Ligonier; her grandson Noah A. Sam (Katie); her great grandson Easton A. Sam; sisters Linda l. Artman, Mary Lou Read, Irene Paulus, and Hildann Perriello; brothers Anthony O’Barto and Richard O’Barto; mother in law Janna (the late George) Feltes; sister in law Laura Taborelli; also aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main St., Irwin, 724-863-1200. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Glenn Meyers, officiating. Interment will follow in Long Run Cemetery.
