  Carol “Sis” Stecak, 76, of Glassport died April 12, 2021. She is the daughter of the late Edmund and Margaret Pacewicz.  She is survived by her beloved husband Paul “Poogie” Stecak, son Mark (Tracey) Stecak; daughter Kelly (Tony) Campitell; grandchildren Marc (Jessica) and Nicholas Stecak, Rachel, Antonio and Angelo Campitell; nephew Jason (Mary) Pacewicz and great nephew Gavin Pacewicz.

Sis held many jobs over the span of her 50+ working years starting with her first job at Sal Darling’s Butcher Shop in Glassport, and ending with her last 20+ year position as a retired Certified Nurses Aid at UPMC Mckeesport Hospital. She was a great cook and baker and always made sure that weddings and graduation parties were well-supplied with stuffed cabbage and her potato and macaroni salads. After her retirement, Sis enjoyed many social activities but spending time playing bingo and shopping with her lifelong best friend Bernadette Sabol and sister-in-law Ali, were at the top of her list. Sis was a member of Queen of the Rosary Parish.

She was preceded in death by her brother Bob Pacewicz and sister-in-laws Ali Pacewicz and Cathy Stecak. Friends received Wojciechowsi Funeral Home, 640 Vermont Ave., Glassport Pa 15045, on Thurs. from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8.  A funeral mass will be held Fri. at 10:00 am at Queen of the Rosary Parish  with Father Miroslaus Wojcicki.
