Richard Allen Funk, 71, of Ardara, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at his home.  He was born March 6, 1950 in Braddock, a son of the late Luther and Dorothy (Kapostas) Funk.  Prior to his retirement, Rich was an expeditor for US Steel and a veteran of the US Army having served during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of Ardara United Presbyterian Church and a social member of Larimer Fire Hall.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (Schueler) Funk; and daughter, Tammi Funk.  He is survived by his sons, Richard and his wife Lisa, Grant and his wife, Amy; daughter, Jill Shoff and her husband, Nathan; brothers, Troy, Robert, Albert, James; sisters, Marion Dillen, Judy Varga; grandchildren, Kara, Tyler and Tylor.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA.  A funeral service will take place on Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com
