Derek Florenz, age 44, of Glassport, formerly of McKeesport, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at home. A graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School, he was a window installer for 25 years for JLF Installation in Apollo, which he recently took over. Born May 2, 1977 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of J. Leslie (Donna) Florenz Sr. of Apollo and Linda Jackson (Phillip) Ciancio of White Oak. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Isabella Kreigline of Baldwin; brothers, J. Leslie (Heather) Florenz Jr. of Monongahela and Christopher (Nicole) Florenz of White Oak; stepbrothers, Donald (Kim) Boylstein of Leechburg, Phillip Ciancio of Moon Twp. and Chad Ciancio of Level Green; also, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 1-3 and 5 until the time of memorial service at 7:30 p.m. with Evangelist Robert Nicklow Jr. officiating.
