Ellen L. (Richards) Coulter, age 95, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Duquesne, passed away on July 18, 2021, at home. Born in McKeesport on May 9, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Frank O. and Myrtle (Sproul) Richards. She liked to read and do crossword puzzles. She was the wife of the late John William “Bill” Coulter Jr.; mother of Sandra Lee (Joseph) Mitchell of Pittsburgh and John W. (Kathleen) Coulter III of McKeesport; grandmother of Dawntee “DJ” Williams, James (Rachel) Blankenship, and Bryan (Aarica) Coulter; great grandmother of Austin Blankenship, Madison Blankenship, McKenna Coulter, and Grayson Coulter; sister of Edwin (Carlene) Richards of Port Vue, Frank Richards of White Oak and predeceased by brothers and sisters, Gladys Barker Young, Norma Price, Clifford Richards, Pete Richards and Dorothy Giatroudakis.

There will be no visitation. Private family burial will take place at Holy Name Cemetery, West Mifflin, with Rev. Carmen Holt officiating.
