Dennis J. Banks, Sr., age 63, of White Oak, died on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. He was born in Pittsburgh on February 13, 1958 and is the son of the late Joseph Banks and Erna Birkholz Banks Dean and his stepfather, John Dean.

He was employed by Bombardier/Alston Transportation in West Mifflin. He was a devout Christian, who attended the Norwin Christian Church in North Huntingdon and Open Bible Church, in McKeesport and enjoyed attending their many functions. He enjoyed working with puzzles and building things with his hands including many construction and remodeling projects. He liked attending art festivals, flea markets, open houses, playing Uno with grandchildren and attending their ball games. He loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Robin Cordes Banks; sons, Dennis J. (Amy) Banks Jr. of McKeesport, David Banks of McKeesport, William Banks of Kannapolis, North Carolina; daughters, Sarah Banks of McKeesport, Emily Banks of Liberty Boro., Mary (Edward) Coffer of Irwin, Molly (Joshua) Russo of Irwin; stepchildren, Richard Ostrosky of McKeesport, Ian (Cynthia) Ostrosky of Rochester, New York, Jeremiah (Andrea) Ostrosky, Sr. of Squirrel Hill, Thomas (Stephanie) Ostrosky of Arizona, Janis (Nick) King of East Brady, PA, Ailene (Paul) Schnur of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Samson, Riley, Harvey, Destini, Anthony, Nei’zhay, McKenzie, Joshua Jr., Mason, Christopher, Noah, Isaac, Paige, Spencer, Jeremiah Jr., Erick; brothers, Edward (Carol) Banks of Pittsburgh, Raymond Banks of Pittsburgh; sisters, Barbara (Richard) Grance of New Kensington, Kathleen (Tony) Graff of Pittsburgh, Ruthann (Richard) Rowic of Pittsburgh; also many nieces & nephews.

Family and friends will gather at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
