Joanie Lynn (Rodabaugh) Opfar, age 60, of Forward Twp., passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 in Jefferson Hospital. She was a retired bus monitor with Pennsylvania Coach Lines in Elizabeth. Joanie enjoyed going to camp in Normalville and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Born July 29, 1961 in Monongahela, she was a daughter of William (Bonnie Swisher) Rodabaugh of Forward Twp. and the late Edna (Zimmerman) Rodabaugh. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry “Earl” Sleith. In addition to her father, she is survived by her sons, Matthew (Melanie) Sleith of West Newton and Derek (Heather) Sleith of Elizabeth; five grandchildren, Matthew, Evan, Easton, Levi and Brayden Sleith; significant other, Bernie Ruhl of Forward Twp.; brothers, Bill (Chrissy) Rodabaugh of Forward Twp. and Scott (Amy) Rodabaugh of West Newton; also, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 4-8 PM. No services are planned.
