Mary O’Keefe Davis, 79, of Belle Vernon, formerly of Wandsworth, Surry, England, peacefully passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021. She was born June 3, 1942, in England during an air raid, to the late John “Jack” and Gwendolynn “Nell” Vivian O’Keefe. Mary passed while in the loving care of her son David and daughter-in-law Sunny with whom she resided during her final days. She was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and family. Mary’s legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren honoring our British and Welsh customs.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Gwendolynn (Vivian) O’Keefe of London, England. Mary was the much-loved Mum of children Catherine (Scott) Roberts, Jason Davis of Clairton, and David (Sunny) Davis of Belle Vernon, PA. She was the cherished grandmother of Hannah (Will Harper) Roberts, Mya Roberts, Kaitlyn and Colin Davis, and Landon and Marlee Davis. She was the sister-in-law to Jackie (Bob Donnelly) Gaza, aunt to Kelly DeSue, Nicole (Shane Ostrander) Gaza, Andrew Gaza, Dylan (Kelsey) Donnelly, and great-aunt to Jada Gaza. She was the beloved family friend of Amy (Jim) Ference and Grandma Mary to Zach Ference. Family from across the pond includes Malcolm (Liz) Osbourne, Ronnie Osbourne, Sylvie May Herbert, Evelyn Sharp, June Vivian, Bill Vivian, and Joan Carroll of Cefn-Hengoed, Wales, as well as, Mike and Maggie Wilson of Poole, England.

Mary lived with her Grancha and Gran Vivian in Cefn-Hengoed, Swansea, Wales during the war, and spent her childhood summers there. She adored these times and loved her many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was educated at an all-girls academy in London before moving to Madrid, Spain where she worked for the American Air Force in Torrejon, Spain. She then moved to the United States with her daughter, Catherine. Mary loved tea parties with family and friends, reading, history, and Brazilian embroidery.

To honor our mother’s wishes and Welsh heritage, she will be cremated, and we will be holding a private mass. Her children will honor her by taking her to her beloved home to rest with her parents, Grancha, and Gran in eternal peace.

Services have been entrusted to S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. Online condolences may be offered at www.finneyfuneralhome.com
