John A. “Freddie” Neeson, age 79, of Elizabeth, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 at home. He was a retired truck driver with Waste Management and Kelly Run Sanitation and a former deckhand with Ohio Barge Line. He was a member of the Elizabeth Moose, a social member of the Elizabeth Fireman’s Club and a former member of St. Michael’s Church. Born December 29, 1941 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Adrian Paul and Florence (Patton) Neeson. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Frankie E. (Dobbins) Neeson; sons, John A. (Sherrie) Neeson of California, Eric P. (Michelle) Neeson of Oregon and Mark A. (Michele) Neeson of Sidman; step daughters, Marti (Mike) Gommerman of Charlotte, NC and Kelly (Robert) Emerick of Rostraver; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Russell M. (Sharon) Neeson of Elizabeth; caregiver and loving granddaughter, Caroline (Eric) Wilson of Liberty Boro; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Paul “Mike” Neeson and Ruth Finney; and his beloved dog Elvis. No visitation or services are planned.
