Harry S. “Stainless Steel” Steele, age 73 of McKeesport, died on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. He was born in McKeesport on September 20, 1948 and is the son of the late Harry and Gloria Joan Sterner Steele and the husband of the late Charlene A. Steele who died on February 27, 2020. 

He was manager at Sunray Electric in McKeesport for over 40 years. He was a Marine serving during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the McKeesport Amvets Post #8, the White Oak American Legion Post #701, also the 11th Ward Club. His “happy” place was at Buck Snort Lodge, which was his camp in Marienville, Forest County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with friends and family. He loved spending time with the grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving children, Mark (Katherine Bach) Steele, Ryan (Christie Seigh) Steele, Shawna (Scott) Eisenberg, and Kristen (Josh Mann) Steele all of McKeesport; adoring grandchildren, Kasi, Josh, Morgan, Brenden, Blake, Caleb, Ireland, Eryn, Emily, Markie, Ashlynn, and Sidney; great-grandson, Josh, Jr.; siblings, Mark (Debra) Steele of North Huntingdon and Patricia (the late Gus) Sachandy of Greensburg; also many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Steele.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Monday, November 29, 2021 beginning at 2:00 p.m. with White Oak American Legion services. Visitation will follow until 5:30 p.m., when services will be held in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Charles Owston officiating.
