JoAnn (McCorkle) Sayre, age 89, of Washington, PA, formerly of Liberty Boro, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Paramount Senior Living in Peters Twp. She was a member of Liberty Presbyterian Church and a former member of Liberty Seniors. Born March 19, 1932 in Fayette City, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Helen (Hough) McCorkle and wife of the late Herbert W. Sayre. She is survived by sons, Jeffrey W. (Laura) Sayre of Washington, PA and Timothy B. Sayre of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Cassie (Adam) Betzler of Bethel Park and Corey W. Sayre of Sarasota, FL; great-grandchild, Kendall K. Betzler; brother, Boyd E. McCorkle of California; sister, Carol J. (Thomas) Williams of Forward Twp.; also, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 4-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 12 Noon in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dr. William K. Little officiating.
