Adeline Bodnar, age 100 of Clairton, passed away at home on Friday, December 17, 2021. Born November 25, 1921 in Clairton, she was the daughter of the late Julio and Frances (Garcia) Gimiliano. Adeline was a member of Ascension of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church in Clairton, the Italian Club, the Women's Guild of Ascension Church, and also volunteered and cooked for Meals on Wheels in Clairton. Adeline was preceded in death by her husband, the late Paul Bodnar Sr. who died 4/3/1999; her sons Dennis Bodner and Paul Bodner, Jr.; her daughter-in-law-Francine Bodner; her brothers Peter, Sam, John, and Daniel Gimliano and Joseph Levat; and her sisters Nancy Yacavace and Genevieve DelVecchio. Adeline is survived by her son Anthony (Teresa) Bodner of Orlando, FL; grandchildren Denise, Danielle, Jeffrey, and James; great-grandchildren Elena, Jack, Brandon, Nicholas, Gabrielle, and Jackson; and also many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, 555 5th. St., Clairton, PA 15025 (412-233-5700), on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM with a Parastas service to be held at 7:30 PM. A Panachida service will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 9:30 AM in the funeral home at 9:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Liturgy in Ascension of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church with Father Ivan Mina officiating.
