Anna (Casperson) Sowa Williams, age 97, of Forward Twp., passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Grandview Estates in Elizabeth Twp. She retired after 33 years as a clerk and typist for the West Jefferson Hills School District. She was a former member of Ella Hollow Bible Church and a former member of the Happy Go Lucky Square Dance Club. Born December 24, 1924 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Bailey) Casperson and wife of the late Louis R. Williams. She is survived by daughter, Janet (Tony) Homa of Elizabeth Twp.; special grandson, Anthony Homa Jr. of Elizabeth Twp.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Jerome H. Sowa Jr.; sisters, Jean Efaw and Doris Caley; and brothers, Harry Jr. and Andrew Casperson. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 11 AM until the time of service at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Burial will follow in Richland Cemetery, Dravosburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Anova Home Health Care System, 17 McKean Avenue, Charleroi, PA 15022.
