Carl Lynch, 92, of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 at UPMC East, Monroeville.
He was born June 14, 1924 in Wall, PA, a son of the late Charles and Viola Tyburski Lynch. Prior to his retirement, Carl was employed by Westinghouse Electric Corporation as a machinist and retired at the age of 62. He was a member of St. Agnes Parish and the Polish National Alliance. He enjoyed polka dances at the SNPJ, Hermine, was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Melcarsky Lynch in 2015; and sister, Delores Gabany. He is survived by his two sons, Thomas and his wife, Audrey, and Ray Lynch; two daughters, Carol Sabatella and her husband, Joseph, Patricia Hegyes and her husband, Michael; sister, Eleanor Nigro; three brothers, Henry, Eugene, Leonard Lynch; four grandchildren, Christopher, Heather, Sarah and Alex. Friends will be received on Monday from 3-7 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Agnes Church. Entombment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA.
