Michael Thomas Chop, age 90, of White Oak, died at home on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. He was born in Pittsburgh on July 1, 1931 and is the son of the late Michael and Helen Burda Chop and the husband of the late Gertrude M. Mattis Chop, who died on August 17, 2016. He was a member of the United States Air Force and worked at General Motors Fisher Body as a Press Operator. He was also a member of the White Oak American Legion.

He is survived by daughters, Donna Marie (Dale Kraeer) Bauer of North Huntingdon; Theresa (Gary) Harvat of Irwin; grandchildren, Michael (Sandra) Harvat; Christina (Adam) Zaccari; Alec Harvat; Grant Bauer; and great-grandchild, Weston Harvat.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church, 1640 Fawcett Avenue, White Oak, PA 15131. Burial will follow.
