Richard L. Bruce Sr., 72, of West Newton, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Mon Valley Hospital. He was born January 11, 1950 in McKeesport, a son of the late Edward and Minerva (Williams) Bruce. Prior to his retirement, Richard was an home improvement salesman and a veteran of the US Army having served during Vietnam. He was a graduate of Norwin Senior High School Class of '68 and a drummer in "The Ravons". He was a Beatles fan, enjoyed watching movies and loved his dog, "Buddy". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Bruce. He is survived by his son, Richard (Julie) Bruce Jr.; daughters, Cindy Bruce, Jennifer (Harry) Lalor, Andrea (David) Sidun; brother, Jimmy Bruce; grandchildren, Landon, Davanee, Kennedy, Paige, Holly and Dylan; and his best friend, Marc Muryn. A memorial service will be held at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA 15642 Thursday at 6:00 P.M. with Pastor Frank Rocco officiating. www.shirleyfuneralhome.com
