William R. Godfrey, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Grandview Estates. An Army veteran serving during the Korean War, he was a retired electrician manager for US Steel National Tube in McKeesport and was a member of Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church in Elizabeth Twp. Born May 19, 1932 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Russell and Frances (Lockovic) Godfrey and husband of the late Ruth Ann (Hill) Godfrey. He is survived by children, Billie Jo (Robert) Kettering of Elizabeth Borough, Jeffrey (Donna) Godfrey of Palm Coast, FL and Kelly (Greg) Godfrey of Elizabeth Twp; grandchildren, Amy Kettering Brawdy, Todd Kettering, Jeffrey Godfrey, Amber Godfrey, Hunter Humenik and Lucas Schmondiuk; and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by brother, Francis Godfrey, and his second wife, Janet (Miller) Godfrey. Visitation and service were private.
