Francis J. "Buddy" Sita, age 88 of McKeesport, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022 in UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born May 10, 1934 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Joseph and Barbara (Sanyi) Sita. Buddy worked as a Metallurgical Technical Specialist at Bettis Atomic Power Labs in West Mifflin, attended Beulah Park United Methodist Church in McKeesport, was a member of the White Oak American Legion, and was heavily involved with the Boy Scouts of America for over fifty years.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years Shirley A. (Marshall) Sita; his children Gary (Kathy) Sita of Northfield, NJ, Sharon Gobbel (Tom Jaworski) of Dundee, MI, Rich (Christina) Sita of Audubon, NJ, and Brian Sita of McKeesport; his grandchildren Stacey Sita, Cara Sita Siudut, Ed, Curt, and Jeremy Gobbel, Kelli Bradley, Kip, Cheyanne, and Brittany Sita, and Brian Sita, Jr.; his thirteen great-grandchildren; his brother James (Connie) Sita of Rockledge, FL; and also nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by his brothers Ernest and Edward Sita and his son-in-law Ronald Gobbel. Private funeral services will be held at a later date.
