Ronald H. Sheriff, age 76 of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 in his home surrounded by his family. Born October 10, 1945 in West Mifflin, he was a son of the late Husain and Anna (Roscinko) Sheriff. A US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Era and a retired electrician for US Steel, Clairton Works, Ronald was a social member of the VFW Post # 803 and a former member of Pine Run United Methodist Church, both in Wilson. In his spare time, he enjoyed duck pin bowling at Glassport Lanes, pitching horseshoes, and listening and dancing to doo-wop and oldies. He will be remembered as a very handy "jack-of-all-trades" who was always willing to lend a hand; as an adventurous spirit who was always up for anything; and, most importantly, as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Ronald is survived by his wife of 56 years Gale (Mort) Sheriff; his daughters Dawn (Darryl) Asbury of Smyrna, DE, Vanessa (Todd) Cooper of Lewes, DE, and Ronna (James) Patton of Jefferson Hills; his grandchildren Kailyn, Sarah, and Lindsey Asbury, Rebekka (Dustin) Pittman, and Taylor (Spencer) Patton; his great-grandchildren Colton, Carmen, Ava, and Charlea; his brother William Sheriff of West Mifflin; and also nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Marie Magdic, Dorothy Smith, Genevieve Long, and Alice Stevenson.
There is no visitation scheduled for Ronald. A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 10 AM in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
