Walter F. "Walt" Crosswaite, 92, of North Huntingdon, formerly of DuBois, Pa., passed away Friday, June 24, 2022 at his home. Born September 14, 1929 in DuBois, he was the eldest child of Walter and Blanche Crosswaite. Following his graduation from Sandy High School, Walter served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, stationed in Japan. After his retirement from Consolidated Natural Gas in 1994, Walter shared his love of God and southern gospel music by traveling to numerous churches throughout western Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Norwin Church of the Nazarene. He also enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh sports teams. He was the proud papa to his three grand puppies, Tyberious, Ziva and Morgan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Barbara (Royer), daughter, Lesa, and brothers, Earl, Leon and Ronald. He is survived by his son, David; brother, Jack; and sister, Betty. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA 15642.
