Elaine Mays, 88, of North Huntingdon passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at William Penn Care Center, Jeannette. She was born October 25, 1933 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Fred and Anna (Benson) Ohs. She was a graduate of McKeesport High School Class of 1951 and worked for Immels Department Store in the cosmetics department. Elaine was a long time member of The First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Chancel Choir, Cathedral Bells and soloist for many years. Painting had been a fun hobby and she was a member of the Norwin Art League. She loved traveling to numerous countries with her loving husband. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, William Mays Jr. and son, Dale Mays. She is survived by her daughter, Renee Martz and her husband, Robert; grandson, Brett Martz (Addie); granddaughter, Heather (Mike) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Emma, Mats, Baylor and Nash. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA 15642. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Irwin. Interment to follow in Irwin Union Cemetery.
