Gaetano “Guy” Melocchi, age 95, of North Versailles passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the home he built surrounded by his family.

He was born November 28, 1926, in Sant Angelo del Pesco, Italy, a son of the late Francesco and Amandolina (DiVito) Melocchi. He immigrated to the United States in 1956, and after establishing himself, sent for his wife and two children two years later. He was a long-time member of Mary Mother of God Parish in East McKeesport (formerly St. Robert Bellarmine). He was a bricklayer for his whole career and was known to be a perfectionist in his trade.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Maria Melocchi; sisters Concetta Saia and Carmela Cifelli; and brothers Quirino Melocchi and Joe Melocchi. He is survived by his daughters Wanda (Bob) Kozler of North Versailles, Linda (Jerry) Lingenfelter of Bridgeville and Anna (Frank) Pendice of Monroeville; grandchildren Rocky (Jamie) Violi, Christina Pendice and Elizabeth Pendice; great grandchildren Gia and Roman Violi; and brother Lou Melocchi of Philadelphia. Friends and family were received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, 412-823-8083.
