Margaret Anselmo, age 97, of White Oak, died on Friday, August 26, 2022. She was born in McKeesport on December 5, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Felix and Maria Stella Sabella Giganti. She was preceded in death by her husband Michele Anselmo, and siblings, Julius Giganti; Rose Panico; Sarah Gumina; Rosella Fichera; Dorothy Annoreno; Stella Lopretto; and Josephine Annoreno. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church.
She is survived by her children, Maria (the late Robert) McBride of White Oak; Paul (Susan) Anselmo of Elizabeth Twp.; Cathy (Barry) Hardesty of Sun City West, AZ; Michael (Lisa) Anselmo of Pittsburgh; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren (with the 20th due to arrive in November). Margaret lived for her family - she loved nothing more than frequent lunch and dinner visits with her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her forever young spirit, joyful attitude, and endless generosity.
Family and friends will gather on Monday, August 29, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church, 312 32nd Street, McKeesport, PA 15132. Entombment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Mary, Mother of God Parish, 1640 Fawcett Avenue, White Oak, 15131.
