Catherine B. West, age 71 of Versailles, passed away at home on Thursday, September 1, 2022. Born September 5, 1950 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Herbert C. and Mary C. (Rodman) West. A member of Mary, Mother of God Parish - Corpus Christi Church, Catherine worked as a computer technician for many years, first with G.C. Murphy and Co., then Sargent Electric, and then heading the computer room at Braddock Hospital. She finished her work life at WalMart. As a child, she was a Girl Scout and McKeesport Majorette Drill Team member, and was also a proud Gold Star Family member. Besides her parents, Catherine was predeceased by her brother James E. West, USMC, who died in the Vietnam War. She is survived by her brothers Officer Thomas West, McKeesport PD of McKeesport and Jay (Nadine) West, USMC of Greenock; her nephew Justin Richel; her niece Phalyn (Bob) Richel Lewis; and her great-nephews-and-nieces Austin, Chase, Lexie, Teegan, and Shawn.

Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home, 4504 Walnut St., Versailles Borough, McKeesport, PA 15132 (412-678-3454) on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 10 AM in Mary, Mother of God Parish - Corpus Christi Church.
