Joseph A. Vislay Jr., 71, of East McKeesport, died Saturday August 27, 2022. He was born October 30, 1950 in Homestead and raised in West Mifflin, the son of the late Joseph A. and Florence (Remas) Vislay. He was a proud Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict serving 6 years of active duty and 2 years reserve duty. He was a member of Praise Assembly of God Church, North Versailles, where he was an active prayer warrior. He was also a very active support person and mentor. He was a loving father, husband and grandfather and was so proud of and adored his family. He loved to read and study history and enjoyed the History and Smithsonian Channels. Joe retired from Three Rivers Pharmaceuticals, Cranberry Township and then worked for Avenna Healthcare.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son Joey Vislay and sisters Margaret Holzer and Mary Boyd.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 45 years Frances A. Vislay; his children Darlene Martin (Don) of Pittsburgh, Cynthia D. Likar (Justin) of Murrysville, and Michelle Nee (Mike) of Level Green; his grandchildren Justin Joseph and Lillianne Likar; his sisters Therese Small of Melbourne, FL, and Lorraine Wilson of WV; also nieces nephews and cousins.

Friends and family will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway Ave., East McKeesport. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Praise Assembly of God Church, 245 Foster Rd., North Versailles, with Pastor Tim Bunney officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles.
