Chester H. Daugherty Jr., 54, of Pitcairn, formerly of Glassport, passed away on Wednesday September 21, 2016 at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville.  He was born in McKeesport on July 3, 1962 to Chester H. Daugherty Sr. of Lincoln Boro and Nancy L. Dornin of Smithton.

Along with his parents, Chester is survived by his loving wife Carol A. McGarrity Daugherty; sons, Daniel (Jen) Daugherty of Liberty Boro, Andrew and Jesse Daugherty both of Pitcairn; daughter, Destiny (Denny Opfer) Daugherty of Pitcairn; sisters, Cheryl Rankin of Smithton, Wanda (Gordon) Fine of Monongahela; half-sisters, Yvonne (Rob) Pennington of Glassport, Tressia Snyder of Liberty Boro; grandchildren, Kylie, Kaden, Jayce; nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by brother James Daugherty. Chester was a 1981 graduate of South Allegheny High School, a truck driver for C. J. Langenfelder & Sons Inc. in Clairton and also Nickolich Towing of Clairton. He was a member of the WACC Club in Wilson, Liberty Boro Vets Club, former Blaine Hill Assoc., Turkeytown VFC, and Clairton VFC.  Family and friends will be received on Sunday September 25, 2016, from 4 – 8 pm at S. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th Street, Clairton,  PA   15025. Service will take place at the funeral home immediately following visitation at 8:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the funeral home to help defray the cost of the funeral.  Online condolences may be offered at www.finneyfuneralhome.com
