Joanne M. (Stoffiere) Gassner, age 83, formerly of Elizabeth, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Mon Valley Care Center. She enjoyed country music, traveling, crafting, reading, shopping, cooking and baking - especially cookies, and loved spoiling her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born May 30, 1939 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Loretta Mesko and wife of the late Joseph J. Gassner Jr. She is survived by daughters, Darlene Gassner of Pricedale, Linda M. (Earl) Parker of Charlottesville, VA and Patricia (Howard) Sajecki of Wake Forest, NC; son, Joseph B. (Peggy) Gassner of Belle Vernon; grandchildren, Emily (John) Anthony, Miranda (Jack) Smeck, Sarah Parker, Ashley (Steven Norelli) Sajecki, Amber Sajecki, Valerie (Patrick) Hassler, Joseph (Virginia) Gassner Jr. and Jessica (Phillip Smith) Gassner; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Olivia, Rebecca, Payton, Reagan, Camryn and Thane; also, sister-in-law, Winiford Burke; brother-in-law, Richard Gassner; and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11 AM in the chapel at Round Hill Cemetery with Pastor Matt Fricker officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements by the Paul E.
