Gail Ross, age 80, of Washington, PA, formerly of North Huntingdon, PA, died on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Woodside Place of Washington, where she was cared for by exceptional staff who treated her like family. She was born in McKeesport on April 20, 1942 and is the only child of the late Edward “Sam” and Aletha “Lete” (Carter) Irwin.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Donald Ross; children, Rebecca (John) Skrabski of Hickory; Christy (the late David) Grecco of Venetia; Robb (Jennifer) Ross of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Lauren (Andrew) Ogburn; Erin (Justin) Smith; Dante Grecco; Matthew Ross; Rachel Ross; Brandon Ross; and great-grandchildren, Calvin and Jack Ogburn.
After successfully raising her children, she pursued a career in real estate. She excelled as a real estate agent, where she made many lifelong friends. Gail’s greatest joys in life were her family and friends. She ran into old friends or made new ones everywhere she went. Her friends were the siblings she never had. She was also a devout Catholic and volunteered her time at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
The family would like to thank Gateway Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.
Family and friends will gather on Sunday, November 6, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 200 Leger Road, North Huntingdon, PA 15642. Burial will follow.
