Elva F. Rolnik, age 93, of West Mifflin, formerly of White Oak, died November 29, 2022, at Jefferson Hospital. Born May 12, 1929, in Blaine Hill, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Rachel (Cooley) Roberts, the wife of the late Richard E. Rolnik and the mother of the late Harry J. Adams.

Elva pursued a career in cosmetology in her fifties by going to school and obtaining a cosmetology license. She ran a successful beauty shop in Glassport. One of her joys in life was cooking and baking. She especially liked cooking for other people. No one could go to their house and leave without eating something. In her early years, Elva enjoyed bowling, working with ceramics, playing cards and going on trips with her husband, Richard, and her family. She was a former member of Bryn Mawr Church of Christ in White Oak.
Elva is survived by her son, Fred (Mary Rose) Adams; grandchildren, Vaughn (JooHyun) and Joel (Stacey) Adams; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Olivia, and Shane; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, parents and son, she was preceded in death by her 13 siblings.
Family and friends may be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 3 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 5 p.m.
Inurnment will be in Round Hill Cemetery.
