Dorothy "Dolly" M. Ammer, age 81, of Redstone Highlands, North Huntingdon, passed away October 5, 2016 at UPMC Mckeesport.

She was born October 26, 1934 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Frank and Marie Uritz Ammer. Prior to her retirement, Dorothy was employed as an administrative assistant by Bettis Atomic Plant. She was a member of St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon. Dolly was preceded in death by a brother Frankie Ammer. She is survived by her brother, Charles, nephew Frankie Ammer (Mandy), and niece Nannette. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, Monday from 9-10 a.m.  A Blessing service will follow at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Interment Penn Lincoln Memorial Park. www. shirleyfuneralhome.com.
