George Edward Dansak, age 82, of Belle Vernon, formerly of Elizabeth and White Oak, died on Saturday, February 18, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on December 2, 1940 and is the son of the late Charles and Anna Bortak Dansak and the husband of the late Carol Berg Dansak, who died on March 7, 2019. George was employed as an engineer at various companies and retired about 20 years ago. He was a quiet man who kept to himself, however, he loved to square dance. He also enjoyed traveling, especially going to his niece Cindy’s farm in Somerset and to Florida in the winter. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in West Newton.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela (Al Rueda) Dansak of Redlands, CA; siblings, Charles (Evelyn) Dansak of McKeesport; Dorothy Sotak of Elizabeth Township; Carol Taylor of West Mifflin; Virginia Neal of McKeesport; Janet Wargo of McKeesport; Maryann Terza of McKeesport; Marsha (Bob) Killian of Elizabeth; Kathy Cortes of Liberty Boro; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great nephews; and cousins. Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at West Newton Cemetery Association.
