Quinn Derek Kirkland, 60, of West Mifflin, was born June 4, 1962, in McKeesport, PA. He was the beloved son of Helen (Ruffin) Kirkland and the late Edward D. Giles.

Quinn attended school at Duquesne High School. For a short period of time, Quinn was in the United States Navy; but that wasn’t him. Quinn was known as DJ Peach. He played at the Name of the Game and Broc & Newts Bar.

The love of Quinn’s life was Malaya Marie Jo Kirkland. She was the light in his eyes! He loved his daughter dearly! We have fond memories of Quinn at cookouts; you could always count on him to be on the grill.

Quinn departed this life on March 11, 2023, at his home in West Mifflin. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Giles. siblings, Mack Brown, Neil,  Kevin Giles, William Kirkland, Sonya Harvey-Kirkland, Gee Gee Giles, and Cheryl Dawson,

Quinn is survived by his beloved mother, Helen Ruffin Kirkland; daughter, Malaya Marie Jo Kirkland; six sisters, Jewelene Kirkland, Penny Kirkland, Pamela  Davis, Tonya Lee, Michelle Robinson, JoAnn Lipscomb-Kirkland; three brothers, Mark Giles, Paul Kirkland, Rev. Craig (Ronita) Giles; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was a Friend to many and a Brother to more!
