June M. (Quinn) Filson, age 96, died at home in Irwin, PA, on March 15, 2023.  She was employed by Joseph Hornes Co., Pittsburgh, Jaison’s Department Store, McKeesport, and Kauffman’s Department Store, Century III Mall.  She was a Christian, and a longtime member of the McKeesport Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon and member of the Women’s Association.  She was active at the First United Presbyterian Church of Boston, PA, and the Presbyterian Church of Jamesburg, NJ.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 939, Versailles.

June was the daughter of John Lawrence Quinn and Cynthia Bender Quinn.  She is predeceased by her husband, Allen G. Filson ( of 51 years), her son, Dale E. Filson, her brother Robert Quinn and her sister Ruth Leaptrot.
June is survived by her son, the Reverend Dr. Gary W. Filson (Ella), her daughter, Cynthia L. Jones (Mark) and her daughter-in-law, Deborah Filson.  She has eight grandchildren: Dale (Suzanne), David (Anna), Marnee, Ian (Julie), Sarah (Kevin), Heather (Manny), Christina (Gage), and Kimberly (Mitchell), and eight great-grandchildren: Alec, Logan, Gavin, Jonas, Leeda, Maddison, Lucas, and Claire.
Family and friends will be received at the Jaycox Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.  The funeral service will be held at the McKeesport Presbyterian Church on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 1:00 pm.  The Committal will be at Jefferson Memorial Park on Monday, March 20, 2023, following the funeral service.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com.  Chris Odasso, Supervisor
