Oren Sinko, age 88, formerly of Redondo Beach, CA, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Lake Havasu City, AZ. An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he retired as a flight engineer for Flying Tigers that became FedEx. He was a recreational pilot who also taught others to fly. Born April 11, 1934 in Glassport, he was a son of the late Walter and Julia (Kazanich) Sinko. He is survived by his brother, Nicholas Sinko of Daniels, WV; sister, Barbara (John) Phillips of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; brother, Valery (Eunice) Sinko of Hialeah, FL; and sister, Marie (Lee) McCracken of Lake Havasu City, AZ; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Willa. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 11 AM until the time of funeral service at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
