Gordon E. Heckman Jr., age 69, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at home. He was a cabinet builder for Cleanetics in West Elizabeth. A Navy veteran, he was a former member of the Elizabeth Moose and an active member of the Elizabeth Volunteer Fire Co. Born September 27, 1953 in New Eagle, he was a son of Grace (Trasp) Heckman and the late Gordon E. Heckman Sr. In addition to his mother, with whom he resided, he is survived by daughter, Jennifer (Scott) Boyce of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Noah and Emily Boyce; sister, Cynthia (Jeff) Lawson of Clairton; nieces and nephews, Heather (Damien), Janelle (Kyle) and Matt (Courtney); great-nieces and nephews, Collin, Nevaeh, Ann Marie and baby Hank on the way; aunt, Caroline Elliott of Long Island, NY; also, cousins. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 11 AM until the time of service at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jeff Riker officiating.
